ALBERT CABESTANY IS READY FOR THE FINISH OF THE OUTDOOR SEASON WITH A GREAT VICTORY IN THE ''TRIAL URBAIN INTERNATIONAL DE CAHORS''
05 September 2005 - Sherco

After his outstanding victory in the recent (August 29th) ''Trial Urbain International de Cahors'' in Cahors France, over all of the contenders for the Outdoor Championship of the World Albert is ready to attack the final three stages of the Championship with a renewed purpose.

The Sherco rider is currently in third place in the provisional standings, four points behind the current Champion, Japanese rider Takahisa Fujinami.

The superiority that Albert displayed over his competitors at the Cahors event, he had a ten point advantage over the current leader of the Outdoor Championship Adam Raga, has given him a renewed spirit for the remaining events.

''The truth is that the Championship of the World is very difficult, however the outcome is still undecided. Adam can have some failures and there are several other riders that can place between him and I which could reduce his advantage even more. My obligation is to ride my very best in the remaining three stages and I feel qualified to do so. It should help that I have been training for several days in Camprodón (Girona) which has very similar terrain to what we will see in Germany. This and the comfortable feeling that the win at Cahors has given me has provided me with a very positive face for the rest of the season. I think that the results that we have achieved as a team this year, considering the fact that this was our first year together, have been very positive. I hope to conclude the season with a good final result, as a minimum we want to be the Sub Champion, which is within our reach and we going to give it our all in order to obtain it.''
