WOLVERHAMPTTON SPEEDWAY
03 September 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

Elite League: Ipswich 50 Wolverhampton 42

FREDRIK Lindgren once again led the way, but Wolves were unable to improve on their away record as they went down to an eight-point defeat in Suffolk. The brilliant young Swede, who had scored a full maximum at Coventry on Friday, provided two heat wins but on this occasion it was a lack of race winners overall which prevented Wolves from taking a second away win of the season. They did, however, manage to take the aggregate bonus point thanks to their large home win over the Witches last month. Lindgren also had the satisfaction of winning the last heat which was re-run after he had been brought down on the first bend - and in the process, he spoilt Chris Louis'' chances of a maximum after the former British Champion had reeled off four straight wins.

IPSWICH: Chris Louis 13+1, Hans Andersen 12+2, Mariusz Puszakowski 9, Robert Miskowiak 8, Kim Jansson 4+2, Piotr Protasiewicz 4, Jon Armstrong 0.

WOLVES: Fredrik Lindgren 13, David Howe 7+1, Simon Stead 6, George Stancl 5+3, Ronnie Correy 4+2, Steve Johnston 4+1, Magnus Karlsson 3+1.
