MOTORCYCLING AT YOUR FINGERTIPS – WORLDOFBMW.COM
09 September 2005 - BMW Motorrad GB

The World of BMW is a motorcyclist’s activity programme giving you the tools and a reason to ride.

It offers off-road skills courses, track days, tours that encompass European and global adventure, the latest news, and many other aspects of motorcycling. And it’s all available online via a new-look website, www.worldofbmw.com

With easy-to-use navigation, the new site is divided into five sections – News, Travel, Training and Track, Interactive, and a Calendar of Events. All sections can be easily accessed from the home page.

“The new site is a great way to communicate with motorcyclists the latest news about BMW motorcycles and the activities we run,” explained BMW Motorrad UK Marketing Executive Jill Paton.

“We have many activities and events for BMW and non-BMW riders. The website is the perfect medium to make sure that everyone can see what we are doing.

“The most important improvement to the site is a brand new email registration facility. Visitors can submit their email address and they will automatically receive an email newsletter on a regular basis from the World of BMW. This will keep them up-to-date on all our activities.”

Another key new feature to the site is an interactive section where visitors can find event reviews and travel stories from like-minded riders. Visitors can also browse through pictures from past events (in the Photo Album); download wallpapers, and submit feedback via an online questionnaire.

In the Travel section visitors can select their next motorcycling holiday. There are short and long tours, tours that focus on riding and others that have a more social approach. Destinations include Norway, Morocco, Spain, Austria and many other stunning locations. The Travel section also features downloadable travel information sheets and details on the International BMW Motorrad Biker Meeting – the annual BMW Motorrad rally at Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany.

The Training and Track section contains information on BMW’s famous Off-Road Skills courses, which also include the course completed by Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor before departing on their Long Way Round adventure. There are also a number of other off-road adventures and riding experiences.

Visitors can also find information about the World of BMW track events. All the activities featured on the website have downloadable information sheets for visitors to print at their leisure.

Visit www.worldofbmw.com and register your email address to keep up-to-date with all the latest news from the World of BMW.

All enquiries relating to the World of BMW and its activity programme can be submitted through the website. For all event bookings, please call 08000 131 282.
