SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
01 September 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
BELLE VUE star Kenneth Bjerre has suffered a double leg fracture while racing in the Danish League play-offs in Fjelsted.
The injury means he will miss the Aces'' play-off campaign and the world under-21 final on September 17. Aces team manager Ian Thomas said: ''This is terrible news for Kenneth and Belle Vue. It leaves us up the creek without a paddle because rules don''t allow us to sign a replacement.'' EXETER have confirmed the appearance of club legends Scott Autrey, Ivan Mauger and Vaclav Verner for their County Ground farewell. The club will stage their last ever meeting at the famous old venue on October 10 and Autrey''s visit has been made possible by the supporters club. Falcons promoter David Short said: ''We are all looking forward to seeing Scott again. It promises to be an emotional evening.''
