GET READY FOR NATIONAL RIDE 2 WORK DAY - 28TH JULY
20 July 2004 - Honda (UK)
Britain''s motorcyclists and scooter riders will be staying in bed for a few extra minutes and taking to the streets en masse again this month for the annual ‘Ride 2 Work’ day, which takes place on 28th July.
''Ride 2 Work'' day is the highlight of National Motorcycle Week (25th-31st July), an initiative launched by the Motorcycle Industry Association and supported fully by Honda (UK) and its nationwide network of dealers. Honda is promoting ''Ride 2 Work'' day through local advertising and via the dealers, many of whom will be opening their showrooms early and inviting two-wheeled commuters to make the most of the extra time that they''ll save by avoiding traffic congestion or delays on the train. ''Many of our dealers have loads of attractive summer offers at the moment on bikes, clothing and accessories,'' explains Honda''s Greg Willis. ''Some are even marking ‘Ride 2 Work’ day by offering a free breakfast!'' He continues: ''This industry initiative has been building momentum for the last few years because it is a perfect way to illustrate not only how much time can be saved by riding to work on a motorcycle or scooter, but also how much fun commuting can be.''
