THE EXPRESS WAY TO BEAT STRIKES...AND BLISTERS
05 July 2004 - Honda (UK)
For those still suffering from blisters sustained from walking to work during last week’s London Tube strike, Honda is able to offer some relief in the form of scooters recommended by Auto Express magazine.
Honda’s Pantheon has won the 125cc category in the 2004 Auto Express Scooter Honours Award, collecting a five-star rating, while last year’s winner, the Honda Dylan, has picked up four stars and the ‘Recommended’ award. Of the Pantheon, Auto Express said: ''The smooth four stroke engine is quiet and produces linear power, while the acres of legroom and well damped suspension make it a perfect commuter''. The Dylan, meanwhile, has ''lost none of its desirability...Sharp brakes scrub off the speed quickly and the punchy engine is sweet around town... The riding position is excellent, too, and other plus points include the spacious boot, fuel gauge and clock''. Greg Willis of Honda commented on the awards, saying: ''Commuters are fed up with paying thousands of pounds each year to get to work and then being held to ransom by strikes, delays and disruption.'' He continued: ''Our dealers are finding that more and more people are discovering the joys and freedom of commuting on two wheels and it is very rewarding when Honda''s products are so highly recommended by Auto Express.''
