APRILIA JOIN BIG NAMES AT THE BIG SHOW
01 September 2005 - Dirt Rider Expo
APRILIA have confirmed that they will be exhibiting for the first time at the Dirt Bike Show at Stoneleigh Park (17-20 November) fuelling speculation about the Italian company’s eagerly anticipated competition machines.
APRILIA join all of the big names in off-road bikes and quads, including BETA, BOMBARDIER, GAS GAS, HONDA, HUSKY, KAWASAKI, KTM, POLARIS, SUZUKI, TM and YAMAHA, making this the showcase for next year’s hot kit. The major clothing and accessory brands will also be officially represented, including Apico, Maxxis and Talon, plus casual gear from Fro Systems, On Fire and No Fear, to name but a few. There will be bigger thrills, spills and laughs, courtesy of the X-Treme Motorcycle Stunt Trials Display Team of Martin Crosswaite and Dan Clark, who will be performing daily in the 1000-seater Live Action Arena. They’ll be joined from some of the hottest stunt acts from Europe – Zoltan from Hungary proved a big hit with last year’s crowds as he performed on his one-wheel MZ125 to the Benny Hill theme tune! This year’s Dirt Bike Show will be big on nostalgia too, with the addition of a new area especially for Classic Twin Shock and Evo Bikes. SAMMY MILLER (winner of over 1300 trials, 9 gold medals and the international six days) is already booked and the organisers believe that this aspect of the Show will appeal to visitors aged 35 and over, who account for half of the total number. Retail space in Hall 1 is now sold out, giving visitors an unrivalled shopping experience and opportunity to bag an end-of-season bargain or tasty Christmas treat. Total floor space for this year’s Show has now reached an unprecedented 15,000 square metres, proving that in spite of concerns over the effects of Single Farm Payments earlier this year, the off road scene remains buoyant. The Dirt Bike Show will run at Stoneleigh Park from 17–20 November 2005. Tickets cost £13.50 for adults and £7.50 for youths/senior citizens. Children under 6 get in free when accompanied by an adult. A new FAMILY TICKET has been introduced, covering 2 adults + 2 youths and costs £37.50, a saving of 10% compared to regular prices. Visitors can save an extra 10% on most ticket prices by booking in advance. Parking remains FREE and there will be a FREE colour show guide.and you can keep up to date by visiting the official Show web site at www.dirtbikeshow.co.uk.
