SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
27 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
BILLY Hamill is looking to salvage something from his season when he competes in Sunday''s Elite League Riders'' Championship at Swindon.
The former World Champion was seriously injured at Blunsdon earlier in the campaign but is now back in top form. Hamill said: ''I like Swindon and it will be a good one for me to do well in. I''m definitely still up for the big meetings.'' READING manager Tim Sugar is optimistic about the Racers'' chances ahead of their double clash with rivals Exeter on Monday. The two sides meet at Smallmead at 11am with the return fixture at the County Ground at 7.30pm. Sugar said: ''I feel man for man we have the edge over Exeter, especially at home. It will be tougher at Exeter but we do have riders who ride well there.''
