SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
24 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

BELLE VUE owner Tony Mole says that the table-topping Aces have exceded all of his pre-season expectations.

Aces are almost certain to lead the qualifiers for the play-offs and therefore guarantee themselves a home draw in the semi-finals. Mole said: ''A top four place was my aim, and I would have been happy with fourth - but the team and the manager have done a great job all season.''

IPSWICH have confirmed that they are set to introduce Polish rider Mariusz Puszakowski into their team for the remainder of the season. The Witches have been using guest riders for the last month after another Pole, Karol Baran, quit the club last month. Puszakowski, 27, rides for Apator Torun in the Polish Extraleague, and will join the Foxhall club on a 4.50 average.
