WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
22 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

Elite League: WOLVES 59 IPSWICH 34

DAVID Howe continued his marvellous Monmore form with a paid maximum as Wolves tore into Ipswich in a one-sided encounter. Howe followed resurgent skipper Steve Johnston home for a 5-1 in Heat 3 before putting together four straight wins, including a dominant outside blast over Hans Andersen to take victory in the nominated riders'' race. The Howe/Johnston partnership carded three 5-1s and there was significant top-end support from Freddie Lindgren, who scored double figures for the second match running, and guest Scott Nicholls who was again great value. Andersen was the only Witches rider to beat either Nicholls or Lindgren, whilst Johnston was unluckily denied a full house in Heat 12 when Chris Louis took advantage of a clearly unsatisfactory start. But that was scant consolation for an Ipswich side who were poor on the night, with Wolves recording their biggest home win for nearly three months.

WOLVES: David Howe 14+1, Fredrik Lindgren 11+1, Scott Nicholls 11, Steve Johnston 9+2, Ronnie Correy 6+1, Magnus Karlsson 4+1, Krzysztof Pecyna 4.

IPSWICH: Hans Andersen 11, Kim Jansson 8, Chris Louis 5+1, Piotr Protasiewicz 4, Robert Miskowiak 2+2, Carl Wilkinson 2, Kevin Doolan 2.
