HODGSON MAKES FLYING VISIT TO BSB ROUND AT SILVERSTONE
27 August 2005 - Bennetts British Superbike

Bennetts, the UK’s number one for motorcycle insurance, arranged a special visit for motorcycling fans last weekend with former British and World Superbike Champion Neil Hodgson attending the Silverstone Round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

Bennetts arranged for Hodgson, who is currently stateside plying his trade in the AMA Superbikes, to fly in to Silverstone and show his support for round nine at the Northamptonshire circuit.

Hodgson relived his BSB glory days and took to the track with Bennetts competition winners for a lap of the famous circuit in the Safety Car, to talk through the sharp corners and lightening straights before the first race.

Neil, who was British Superbike Champion in 2000 and has a personal sponsorship deal with Bennetts that has run for the last three years, held an open signing session at the Bennetts Mobile Display Unit where hundreds of fans were able to catch up with the superstar rider.

Neil said: “It was great to return to Silverstone and meet up with some of the fans face to face. There were some very exciting races on the day and the Bennetts British Superbike Championship title race is wide open with only four rounds to go - it looks like it could go right to the wire.”

Kal Samra, Bennetts Director said: “It was fantastic that Neil could take time out from the AMA Championship in the USA and attend Silverstone to meet his many fans. Bennetts are committed to bringing the fans closer to the action and I’m sure they had a day to remember.”
