WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
21 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SCOTT Nicholls will once again deputise for injured Wolverhampton ace Mikael Max - this time against his old club Ipswich on Monday.

Nicholls quit his hometown team in the winter for a high profile move to Coventry where he has become a big hit with Bees fans. Widely regarded as one of the most exciting riders in the world, Nicholls has made several guest appearances for the Monmore men since the cruel injury to Max last month. Ipswich include world cup winner Piotr Protasiewicz and they have a team of riders capable of riding well at Monmore Green - they won by a staggering 16-points in a cup tie there in April. Wolves skipper Steve Johnston said: ''We''re desperate to win this meeting, things haven''t been going well for us lately and we''re all keen to get a victory. ''Personally I was pleased to get in the points in our match at Ipswich on Thursday and I''m determined to keep it going on Monday night.''

WOLVES: Freddie Lingdren, Krzysztof Pecyna, Steve Johnston, David Howe, Scott Nicholls, Magnus Karlsson, Ronnie Correy.

IPSWICH: Hans Andersen, Robert Miskowiak, Kim Jansson, Chris Louis, Piotr Protasiewicz, TBC, Daniel King.
