SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
18 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

PETERBOROUGH have confirmed that the test on Jesper B Jensen''s carburettor has resulted in the item being declared legal.

Confusion reigned at the end of Monday''s televised meeting at Poole, where the Panthers won 46-44, when it was suggested that the carb was marginally over-sized. But following investigation from SCB examiner Jim McMillan, no problems were found and the match result will not be amended.

EASTBOURNE have made a double alteration to their squad with Oliver Allen and Troy Batchelor set to share their doubling-up position. The duo race for King''s Lynn in the Premier League, whilst Allen has been with Swindon in the Elite this year. Eagles boss Jon Cook said: ''Second place is not beyond us and Oliver is just the kind of character we need for the run-in.''

SWINDON have announced that Isle of Wight star Ulrich Ostergaard has joined their Elite League squad as a replacement for Oliver Allen. Promoter Alun Rossiter said: ''I felt that Olly needs a new challenge and so we have loaned him to Eastbourne, and I wish him well. ''I''m pleased to have Ulrich on board and hopefully he will help to bolster up the side in the run-in.''
