SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
10 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SOMERSET have been rocked by the loss of recent signings Chris Mills and Trevor Harding through injury.

Both riders have sustained wrist injuries with Harding possibly out for the rest of the season with a broken scaphoid. Replacements are needed for their weekend northern tour. Mills said: ''I''m determined to be back racing sooner rather than later because my injury isn''t as serious as that suffered by Trevor.''

GEORGE Stancl makes another Elite League appearance for Ipswich in their big home meeting with Poole on Thursday. Stancl, who rides for Premier League Glasgow, has impressed the Witches when doubling up this season. He replaces the unavailable Karal Baran. Skipper Chris Louis said: ''George is a good rider who is very happy to be riding for us in what is going to be an important meeting.''
