WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
08 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
Elite League: Wolverhampton 53 Swindon 40
DAVID Howe was in blistering form as the Parrys International Wolves blasted back to form with a 13-point win over Swindon in a thoroughly entertaining encounter. Howe roared to four straight wins - beating both of the Robins'' much-vaunted top two - before finally being headed by Leigh Adams in Heat 15, although even then he passed Lee Richardson on the line for second. Wolves had the match and bonus point sewn up comfortably by that stage as Swindon''s strong first-half challenge subsided in the closing stages of the meeting. Scott Nicholls was excellent value as guest for Mikael Max, and Ronnie Correy was resurgent on his move down to reserve. WOLVES: David Howe 14, Ronnie Correy 11+2, Scott Nicholls 11, Fredrik Lindgren 8, Steve Johnston 4+1, Krzysztof Pecyna 3+1, Magnus Karlsson 2. SWINDON: Leigh Adams 14, Lee Richardson 9+1, Charlie Gjedde 7+1, Jonas Davidsson 5+1, Peter Ljung 3, Sebastian Alden 2, Tommy Allen 0.
