WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
07 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

COVENTRY skipper Scott Nicholls will make a guest appearance for the Parrys International Wolves in Monday night''s must-win clash with Swindon.

Nicholls was superb when Coventry won at Monmore Green last month, and takes the place of the injured Mikael Max as Wolves return to action after the World Cup break. Nicholls will come up against his Great Britain team-mate Lee Richardson who was so impressive at Wroclaw on Saturday, and Richardson forms a top two for the Robins with Leigh Adams which must be respected - with back-up from Midland Open winner Charlie Gjedde. The Wolves riding order changes with Krzysztof Pecyna exchanging places with Ronnie Correy who drops to reserve after his recent mechanical problems. Magnus Karlsson returns after his injury absence. Wolves skipper Steve Johnston said: ''It''s great for us to have a rider like Scotty in the team with us. I spoke to him in Poland over the weekend and he is really looking forward to it, I''m sure he''ll give us his best efforts. ''It''s vital for us to get the win we need to get a good run of results together over the next few weeks, and after a week off all the boys are ready for action.''

WOLVES: Scott Nicholls, Krzysztof Pecyna, Steve Johnston, David Howe, Freddie Lindgren, Magnus Karlsson, Ronnie Correy.

SWINDON: Leigh Adams, Jonas Davidsson, Peter Ljung, Charlie Gjedde, Lee Richardson, Olly Allen, Seb Alden.
