2005 BIKE SHOW REVEALS ALL-NEW INTERACTIVE FEATURES
10 August 2005 - MCI Exhibitions Ltd

Never before has the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show promised so muchfor so many!

This year’s show in association with The Sun takes place on its new
dates of 28th October to 6th November at the Birmingham NEC and is set to
showcase the most impressive launch of new bikes ever seen in the UK. The show
also promises to be the most interactive bike show ever staged with something for
visitors of all ages to try. Whether you prefer the unpredictability of the off road biking
experience, the pure pleasure of the open road on your dream bike, or the heartpumping rush of motorcycle racing, this year’s show will give you the chance to have
a go.

‘Bike Ride Out’:
This incredible new road-riding feature offers visitors the chance to test the very
latest bikes from the major manufacturers on the roads that surround the NEC.
Show visitors participating in this all-new feature will choose their preferred bike, be
supplied with all the necessary safety equipment, and then take to the open roads for
the ride of a lifetime.

‘Off Road Experience’:
Thrill-seekers can test their riding skills with a choice of bikes for this feature set in
the dramatic woodlands around the NEC. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to
experience Off Road riding at its best with the best.

‘Supermoto’:
The try a supermoto feature returns to the show in a new format for 2005, providing
high speeds and maximum adrenalin, as riders will hone their racing skills on a
specially designed outdoor track offering the chance to experience the latest
Supermoto bikes with guidance and advice from top experts.

My First Honda Licence’:
Even 5 – 11 year olds will be catered for at this year’s show with the arrival of this
unique feature! Young motorcycle enthusiasts will be able to get their very first taste
of 2-wheel action when they get on the seat of a restricted 50cc motorcycle on the
specially designed indoor circuit and receive their very first bike licence once
proficient with the machine.

‘Interactive Seminars’:
Once you’ve had your fill of on-bike action, the show is also offering a new series of
question and answer seminars to give people an insight from the experts on a range
of biking topics.

‘Guinness Bar’:
If the action gets too much for you and you are not riding or driving home, the new
Guinness Bar will be a great place to swap biking tales and relax with a drink.
Many other new biking activities will be on offer at the NEC including a mini moto
race circuit, a BSM training centre and the return of the Race Paddock. Visitors will
need to show a valid UK driving licence before trying some of the free features, and
must pass an alcohol breathalyser test.

Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, Finlay McAllan, commented: “This year’s
show is an entirely new venture. On an unprecedented level, visitors of every age will
be able to have a go on some of the most exciting and adrenalin-fuelled features on
display at any show in the country. Whatever you do don’t forget to bring your
licence if you want to ride the big bikes or you will miss out! ”
