2005 BIKE SHOW REVEALS ALL-NEW INTERACTIVE FEATURES

Never before has the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show promised so muchfor so many!
This year’s show in association with The Sun takes place on its new dates of 28th October to 6th November at the Birmingham NEC and is set to showcase the most impressive launch of new bikes ever seen in the UK. The show also promises to be the most interactive bike show ever staged with something for visitors of all ages to try. Whether you prefer the unpredictability of the off road biking experience, the pure pleasure of the open road on your dream bike, or the heartpumping rush of motorcycle racing, this year’s show will give you the chance to have a go. ‘Bike Ride Out’: This incredible new road-riding feature offers visitors the chance to test the very latest bikes from the major manufacturers on the roads that surround the NEC. Show visitors participating in this all-new feature will choose their preferred bike, be supplied with all the necessary safety equipment, and then take to the open roads for the ride of a lifetime. ‘Off Road Experience’: Thrill-seekers can test their riding skills with a choice of bikes for this feature set in the dramatic woodlands around the NEC. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience Off Road riding at its best with the best. ‘Supermoto’: The try a supermoto feature returns to the show in a new format for 2005, providing high speeds and maximum adrenalin, as riders will hone their racing skills on a specially designed outdoor track offering the chance to experience the latest Supermoto bikes with guidance and advice from top experts. ‘ My First Honda Licence’: Even 5 – 11 year olds will be catered for at this year’s show with the arrival of this unique feature! Young motorcycle enthusiasts will be able to get their very first taste of 2-wheel action when they get on the seat of a restricted 50cc motorcycle on the specially designed indoor circuit and receive their very first bike licence once proficient with the machine. ‘Interactive Seminars’: Once you’ve had your fill of on-bike action, the show is also offering a new series of question and answer seminars to give people an insight from the experts on a range of biking topics. ‘Guinness Bar’: If the action gets too much for you and you are not riding or driving home, the new Guinness Bar will be a great place to swap biking tales and relax with a drink. Many other new biking activities will be on offer at the NEC including a mini moto race circuit, a BSM training centre and the return of the Race Paddock. Visitors will need to show a valid UK driving licence before trying some of the free features, and must pass an alcohol breathalyser test. Standard ticket prices are £15 for adults, £13 for students, £5 for senior citizens and children between eleven and sixteen, and £35 for a family ticket. Children under the age of eleven are admitted for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
