TAILS YOU WIN!
03 August 2005 - BMF
With the BMF’s Tail End show staged as the close to the BMF’s annual events programme, it’s always got that special party atmosphere running through the whole event - and this year will be no exception!
Regularly attracting upwards of 28,000 people (no matter what the weather!), Tail End, sponsored by Carole Nash Insurance and now in its eighth year, gets an extra boost when Vintage Speedway comes roaring back onto the scene. An enforced absence last year disappointed many visitors but the spectacular sights and sounds are now well and truly back with a vengeance! The infamous Moped Enduro is bound to draw massive crowds too as over 60 teams compete for honours. For the real diehards, an extra competitive element will be the chance to scoop the Overall BMF Champion of the Year award open to teams who also competed in the BMF Show mud-duro this year. But that’s not all. Also in the main arena will be the ever popular Jake Semtex and his team putting on a mixture of explosive stunts and freestyle motocross tricks while the Over The Top Stunt Team live up to their name performing a range of daring jumps, wheelies and fire stunts and all on quads and trikes. A stunt team not to be missed! Missing the ramp on the other hand might be a preoccupation for those who compete in the have-a-go Long Jump Competition run by Jake Semtex. It’s a chance for the brave to win up to £100 for the longest jump. With plenty of traders covering everything from clothing to accessories, an autojumble and of course scores of BMF club stands plus side-shows and a Kids Area with mini quads, mini bikes and a bouncy castle, the whole family can enjoy the day. Cash points and Fair Mobility scooter/wheelchair hire are on hand and for those camping, there are excellent camping facilities with hot showers and plenty of loos! There’s also evening entertainment with three music venues and live bands. With so much going on, everyone wins at Tail End!
