SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
02 August 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
GREAT Britain will be unchanged for the World Cup Final in Poland on Saturday.
Manager Neil Middleditch held talks with ex-world champion Mark Loram on Monday but he is still not fully fit. Middleditch said: ''Mark told me he thought I should go with the same team. Joe Screen is getting a new engine which shows how keen he is to do well for us in the final.'' ADAM Skornicki has joined Arena Essex in a loan deal from Wolverhampton until the end of the season. Skornicki, a big favourite at Monmore Green, replaces injured American Josh Larsen in the Hammers side and will make his home debut on August 17. Hammres boss Ronnie Russell said: ''Adam is a quality rider and I''m sure he will quickly become a firm favourite with the supporters.'' NEWCASTLE are hoping James Grieves will be fit to return from injury in the mid-week trip to Hull. But Phil Morris has been detained in hospital with spleen and elbow injuries after a crash at the weekend. Boss George English said: ''Considering all our injury problems it was a massive achievement for us to beat Berwick on Sunday. It underlines the team spirit we have throughout the camp.''
