CARMICHAEL DOUBLE AT WASHOUGAL

Team Makita Suzuki''s Ricky Carmichael increased his series lead in the AMA Motocross series with two walk-away wins in today''s eighth-round Washougal race in Washington.
Reigning Champion Carmichael has now won 14 of the 16 races so far on the RM-Z450 four stroke Suzuki and leads the 12-round, 24-race series by 83 points from arch rival Kevin Windham (Honda). THQ World and AMA Supercross Champion Carmichael won both races convincingly; the first 30 minute leg by 28 seconds and the second by 21 seconds from Windham. In the 125cc class, RM-Z250-mounted Broc Hepler took fifth and first places to move to sixth in the championship as class team-mate Davi Millsaps grabbed sixth and fourth to lift himself to eighth overall in the series. 250 Results: 1.
