SKIDMARX BODYWORK FOR Z750S
02 August 2005 - Skidmarx
Kawasaki claim that their attractively priced Z750S motorcycle “ has the power and poise to take you anywhere you want to go” so British bodywork specialist Skidmarx has created a range of aftermarket accessories to enhance rider comfort on this capable machine.
As you would expect from the company that supplies many of the UK’s superbike race teams, there is a double bubble style screen to directly replace the OE item. Manufactured from 3mm acrylic, customers can choose from clear, tint or a variety of colours. SRP is £49.95 (add £6 for coloured screens). Headlight covers are available to complement the screen and protect expensive light units from stone chips. They are simple to fit, manufactured from the same acrylic material as the screens and are supplied with Velcro fixings in clear, tinted or colours, SRP £18.90. For owners seeking extra protection from the elements, particularly for touring or commuting, Skidmarx have developed fairing lower panels. These are produced from GRP (glass reinforced plastic – ‘fibreglass’), which is pre-coloured with a tough gel coat. The two panels fit snugly to the bike’s mini fairing and are supplied with tailored fittings that utilise existing mounting points on the bike, making fitting relatively uncomplicated. Available only in black, the lowers come with stainless steel fittings and retail for £125. Colour- match is available – POA. Completing the package is the hugger. Also produced in GRP, this incorporates an integral chain guard and is supplied with stainless fittings. Available in black and a choice of colours priced at £65.50. All of these products are hand made by skilled craftsmen in Skidmarx’ UK factory. Note A clear headlight cover is the only finish that is legal for road use. All other finishes are illegal and for show purposes or off-road use only.
