WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
27 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

WOLVERHAMPTON legend Sam Ermolenko makes an emotional return to the club at Oxford on Thursday - for one night only.

Ermolenko, who has made almost 500 appearances for the Black Country side, is currently on loan to Peterborough and will make a guest appearance for the injured Mikael Max. Magnus Karlsson is also out injured and his place will be taken by another popular Wolves rider, squad member James Grieves who won the league and cup double with the club in 1996. Team boss Peter Adams insists his side are refusing to throw the towel in on their play-off hopes - despite a run of three straight defeats and the injury problems. He said: ''There''s no way we''re throwing the towel in yet, three teams I feel are looking good for the play-offs and the fourth spot is wide open.''

OXFORD: Greg Hancock, Tobias Kroner, Travis McGowan, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Emil Kramer, A N Other.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Ermolenko, Ronnie Correy, Steve Johnston, David Howe, Freddie Lindgren, James Grieves, Krystof Pecyna.
