SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
27 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

OXFORD will hand a debut to Polish youngster Pawel Staszek in Thursday''s clash with Wolverhampton at Cowley.

Staszek has been recommended to the Silver Machine by Billy Hamill who rides alongside him in Poland. Boss Nigel Wagstaff said: ''He rides for Grudziadz in the Polish First Division and does very well for them. He got a big score last weekend and Billy speaks very highly of him.''

STOKE have moved quickly to replace Peter Carr by snapping up British youngster Adam Allott. Carr has stood down because of outside pressures which meant he couldn''t give the club his full commitment. Allott said: ''I had thought my season might be over so I know this is a big chance for me. The ball is in my court and I want to give it my best.''
