SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
26 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

POOLE boss Neil Middleditch is warning his riders about the importance of their Wednesday night home clash with fellow play-off hopefuls Coventry.

With Belle Vue''s win at Wolves on Monday, Middleditch knows the race is on for second spot and home advantage. He said: ''This is a real crunch test against an in-form Coventry side and my riders will need to be at their best to beat them.''

BELLE VUE boss Ian Thomas is refusing to take a play-off place for granted despite yet another away win. The Aces are well clear in the Elite League table after their 51-39 success at Wolverhampton. Thomas said: ''We''re in a very strong position now and I''m proud of the lads but I''m not taking anything for granted at this stage. July has been a great month for us.''
