WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
22 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

ELITE LEAGUE: Coventry 55 Wolverhampton 39

WOLVES slipped to their second away defeat in three days as Coventry got the job done in the first half of the meeting. Wolves provided heat winners in the first two races but then conceded five 5-1s in the next six heats to drop 20 points beind. The visitors rallied in the second half of the meeting to avoid a heavier defeat with guest Lee Richardson outstanding and No.8 James Grieves racing well at reserve and deserving his two heat wins. Richardson won two of the last three heats to deprive home skipper Scott Nicholls of a paid maximum, although by that stage both match and bonus points were in the bag for the Bees.

COVENTRY: Scott Nicholls 15+1, Joonas Kylmakorpi 11, Chris Harris 9, Morten Risager 8+2, Billy Janniro 6+4, Martin Smolinski 6+2, rider replacement for Andreas Jonsson.
