WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
21 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

INJURY-HIT Wolves have booked former Coventry favourite Lee Richardson as their guest rider to cover for the injured Mikael Max in the Midlands derby at Brandon on Friday.

Richardson, who recently completed a permanent switch to Swindon, is a Coventry track specialist and should prove to be a suitable replacement for broken thigh victim Max. James Grieves continues to deputise for Magnus Karlsson at reserve. Karlsson is having daily treatment on his damaged shoulder sustained in Sweden on Tuesday. Wolves boss Chris van Straaten said: ''Magnus is taking it day by day and we will have to see whether he recovers in time for our home meeting with Belle Vue on Monday. ''In the meantime James gets another chance to impress at Elite League level and we are delighted to have such a quality rider in Lee Richardson in our team for what is obviously a very difficult trip.'' Coventry continue to cover for top man Andreas Jonsson with the rider replacement facility, with every other Bees rider eligible to take his rides.

Coventry: r/r for Andreas Jonsson, Billy Janniro, Morten Risager, Joonas Kylmakorpi, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Martin Smolinski.

Wolves: Lee Richardson, Ronnie Correy, Steve Johnston, David Howe, Fredrik Lindgren, James Grieves, Krzysztof Pecyna.
