AVONVALE HONDA TO HOLD ‘ROAD-SAFETY DAY’ Northampton motorcycle dealership Avonvale Honda will be hosting another road safety day for bikers this weekend. The dealership in Grafton Street has joined forces with Northamptonshire’s road safety team to host one of the county’s regular Bikesafe meetings on Saturday As well as good advice for bikers about how to stay safe this summer, motorcyclists can take part in competitions, receive freebies in the many giveaways which take place throughout the day and also indulge in a burger or two at the free barbecue! Other attractions will be Honda’s range of new motorcycles to be drooled over in the Avonvale showroom as well as a close-up look at a modern-classic sportsbike – Honda’s RVF RC45. James Manley from Avonvale Honda said: “The safety of all motorcyclists is very close to our heart as we all ride bikes and understand the dangers that exist when riding on the county’s roads. We like to promote safe and sensible riding as soon as we’ve sold a bike and we continue this by helping to arrange advance tuition through Honda’s own MAC advanced riding courses.” Northant’s road safety officer for motorcyclists, Tony Lockhart, said: “We appreciate Avonvale Honda’s help on allowing us to take our Bikesafe unit to their premises and spread the word. Motorcycles are fun and we all love riding them, but our message is to be responsible and recognise your own limits.
