#1 Insurer of Motorcycles Celebrates 14th Annual Ride to Work Day

Today, The Progressive Group of Insurance Companies(NYSE:PGR), which insures more than one million motorcycles and their riders, celebrated the 14th annual Ride to Work Day - a day during which thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts around the world commute to work on their motorcycles to demonstrate, among other benefits, that motorcycles are a practical and efficient form of transportation.

Ride to Work Day is intended to demonstrate that for many people, riding is a socially responsible form of personal mobility that saves energy, helps the environment and provides a broad range of other public benefits. Attributes such as the size, fuel-efficiency and agility of most motorcycles can be attractive to many commuters who may be weary of soaring gas prices, road congestion or parking difficulties.
