WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
20 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

MIKAEL Max had surgery in the early hours of Wednesday morning to insert a pin in his left thigh.

The Wolverhampton number one, who crashed in a Swedish League meeting on Tuesday night, has also suffered a broken left wrist. He went into theatre at 3am when a pin was inserted from the top of his left thigh down to his knee. Wolverhampton promoter Chris Van Straaten said: ''Mikael asked his friend to call me just before going into theatre and he appears to be in good spirits. ''I am sure everyone connected with Wolverhampton Speedway wishes him all the very best for a speedy recovery.'' *WOLVES are at Belle Vue tonight with Coventry''s Scott Nicholls making a guest appearance for Max.
