SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
19 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SWINDON have re-signed Swedish international Peter Ljung for the rest of the season.
Ljung replaces the unlucky Sebastian Tressarieau who is now set for talks with Premier League Workington. Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: ''I believe this move will give us that little extra edge when it comes to pushing for the play-offs and Knockout Cup. Seb is the unfortunate one but a spell back in the Premier will benefit him.'' HULL boss Dave Peet has set his side a target of a top eight place by the end of the season. The reigning Premier League champions, who have had problems both on and off the track in recent weeks, face Yorkshire rivals Sheffield on Wednesday. Peet said: ''With all our injuries the title has gone, but we need to stay focussed and go for a place in the Young Shield play-offs.''
