THREE WHEELS BETTER FOR DAVID CAMERON MP
25 July 2005 - Watsonian-Squire
David Cameron MP took to three wheels when he visited Witney Community Hospital last week, as he joined in with the spirit of National Motorcycle Week.
The Shadow Secretary of State for Education and Skills rode to his appointment in a British made Watsonian-Squire sidecar outfit, manufactured in Moreton-in-Marsh, close to his Cotswold constituency. “My constituents spend a lot of time sitting in traffic jams trying to get to work or get home. Motorcycles offer an affordable alternative to cars and public transport and help to reduce congestion into the bargain,” comments David. “I’m also very excited about taking my first ride in a sidecar, particularly one made by a successful British company that’s been in business since 1912,” he adds. David visited the Witney Community Hospital to meet the Tryards Disability Group. Watsonian-Squire was founded in 1912 and is not only the world’s oldest surviving sidecar manufacturer but also Europe’s biggest, producing approximately 200 sidecars per year.
