AMA VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE DAYS AT MID-OHIO

The 14th annual American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Vintage Motorcycle Days, a three-day event expected to attract an estimated 40,000 motorcycling enthusiasts from North America and overseas.
In celebrating Ducati, this year''s ''Featured Marque,'' AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will benefit the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum. WHEN: Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17, 2005. WHERE: Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio. EVENTS: - 3 vintage bike shows. - The largest motorcycle swap meet in North America. - The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Auction of motorcycles & memorabilia. - The largest-ever exhibit of historic Ducati motorcycles, on loan from private owners and collectors -- more than 70 motorcycles, valued at over $4 million. - Performances by World Stunt-Riding Champion Christian Pfeiffer. - Performances by Tommi Ahvala, ''Team Extreme'' Trials Showcase. - American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) roadracing, motocross, observed trials and dirt-trackracing. NOTABLES: - Grand Marshal Paul Smart, winner of the 1972 200 Miles of Imola. - World Stunt-Riding Champion Christian Pfeiffer. - An estimated 1,500 riders competing in AHRMA vintage racing.
