Red Bull KTM Supermoto Junior Euro Cup Search Days

On july 9 the Red Bull KTM Supermoto Junior Euro Cup saw it’s first “Search Days“ qualification race at Harzring in Germany. About 60 young talents from seven nations, aged between 15 and 21, competed under observation of KTM race director Kurt Nicoll and KTM supermoto team manager Klaus Kinigadner. First the youngsters had to pass training runs and skill tests on demanding Harzring, followed by the qualification race in the afternoon. Although some of the rookies experienced difficulties in the offroad section, most of them showed a strong performance.

In the finals the german winner Dennis Sigloch and fourteen other riders as well as five substitutes received a ticket for Red Bull KTM Supermoto Junior Euro Cup. They will race next at Junior Euro Cup event in Alpe d´Huez (FRA), together with the top national riders from Austria, Italy and Spain, in order to gain first international racing experience. KTM provides SX 200 Supermotos for the Junior Cup races. The rider’s package contains complete riding gear, bike rental fee, insurance, catering as well as admission charges, which are paid back when attending the race.

KTM, Red Bull and Metzeler arrange europe’s top and best endowed rookie cup, which has become a jumping-off place for a professional racing career.
