SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
11 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SCOTT Nicholls won his third British title in the last four years after beating Coventry colleague Chris Harris in the final at Oxford.

Reigning champion Joe Screen finished third with ex world champion Mark Loram fourth. Nicholls said: ''It was a bit of a consolation after the disappointment of not reaching the Czech Grand Prix final and at least I have something to show for my weekend work.''

WOLVERHAMPTON bosses Chris Van Straaten and Peter Adams will make a decision on who to leave out of their team by Thursday. David Howe made his comeback from a broken ankle with five-points in the Championship of Great Britain Final at Oxford. Adam Skornicki, Howe''s temporary replacement, has been impressive since rejoining the club and Van Straaten said: ''I''ll be talking to Peter and the riders before announcing any decision.''
