SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
10 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

TONY Rickardsson continues to re-write the speedway record books after taking a fourth Grand Prix win in succession in Prague on Saturday.

The Swede''s Czech Grand Prix triumph gives him a record of five wins and a second place in an astonishing season. Bjarne Pedersen finished second with Jarek Hampel third whilst Jason Crump, fourth on the night, now trails Rickardsson by a massive 54 points overall.

TONY Rickardsson shrugged off the effects of a hand injury sustained in a second-ride crash to keep up his Grand Prix series domination in Prague. The Swede, who could clinch the title in the next round, thanked his pit crew for their work on his equipment after the incident. Rickardsson said: ''The first bike was bent, but my crew did a great job to change engines and things are really looking good.''
