PERSONAL ACCIDENT COVER FOR MOTORCYCLISTS FROM CHOICEQUOTE
12 July 2005 - ChoiceQuote

By law, every motorcycle must be covered by Third Party insurance, which will pay out in the event of another road user being injured by the rider. But who will pay out if the rider is injured?

That’s the question being posed by specialist insurers ChoiceQuote.

According to the Department for Transport, “… accidents involving no other vehicle …. are also the types of accidents most likely to result in motorcycle users being killed or seriously injured.” (DfT Transport Statistics Bulletin 2004).

ChoiceQuote have developed an affordable personal accident insurance scheme specifically for motorcyclists, which enables them to ride safe in the knowledge that if things do go wrong, a cash lump sum will be paid out so at least money is not a worry.

The cover pays out £20,000 in the event of loss of sight in both eyes, loss of limbs, permanent disablement or death. Should the rider suffer the loss of a limb or sight in one eye, they will receive £10,000

Road Rage
The policy also has an additional benefit in the event of an assault. It will pay £100 for each 24-hour period that is spent in hospital as an in-patient, up to a maximum of £3,000.

ChoiceQuote Personal Accident Protection is available for a flat fee of just £15 for 12 months and the offer is open to both new and existing clients.
