SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
08 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association
IPSWICH promoter John Louis declared himself relieved as Peterborough came away from Foxhall with a draw for the second time this season.
Ipswich fought back from nine points down for a 46-46 outcome but had no answer to Panthers skipper Peter Karlsson. Louis said: ''I have to be satisfied with a draw. I could see early on that it was going to be one of those nights with silly points lost.'' GRANT MacDonald is on the verge of a comeback to the sport having agreed to practice at Mildenhall with a view to a team place at West Row. MacDonald has not ridden since 2002 but could replace the injured Joel Parsons for the Tigers. Owner Mick Horton said: ''Grant will have a few laps to see what he thinks, and if he signs he would add extra firepower to our team.''
