JONES AT EASE FOR SNETTERTON
08 July 2005 - Honda Racing
Chris Jones is relishing the prospect of competing in round eight of the British 125GP Championship at Snetterton this weekend after regaining enthusiasm for the sport.
The Red Bull Honda rookie is on a roll after securing three podium finishes in the last four races. The 14-year-old feels that the whole Red Bull Honda package has really come together since Mallory Park and he has gelled with the team, which is making it easier for him to be a frontrunner in the series. Jones is just two points outside of a top five position overall in the championship after racking up the points recently aboard the Honda RS125. His aim for this weekend is to secure another top three finish at the 1.952-mile Norfolk track. Chris Jones: “I feel much happier than I did at the start of the season because everything was so new to me. I’m really enjoying being part of the Red Bull Honda team now and I think that it’s definitely reflecting in my riding. I’m looking forward to this weekend and hoping for another good result.”
