MLADIN SETS PROVISIONAL POLE
08 July 2005 - Suzuki Racing

Team Yoshimura Suzuki''s Mat Mladin put his GSX-R1000 at the top of qualifying for this weekend''s AMA Superbike 11th round at Laguna Seca, USA as three Suzukis grabbed the top seven places.

Five-time AMA Champion Mladin, who has won seven of the 10 races so far this year, posted a time of 1:25.981, just over 300ths-of-a-second quicker than Ducati''s Eric Bostrom.

Mladin''s team mates Ben Spies took provisional fifth and Aaron Yates, seventh.

Tomorrow''s 28-lap 100k race takes place after final MotoGP qualifying at 4.35pm local time.
