JESPER B Jensen has flown home to Denmark to be with his partner Rikki for the birth of their first child.

The Ipswich rider pulled out of the Danish squad for their test match with Great Britain at his parent track Wolverhampton to be replaced by Coventry ''s Morten Risager. Denmark boss Jacob Olsen said: ''In circumstances like this we have to be sympathetic to the wishes of the rider.''

OXFORD are expecting to have inspirational skipper Greg Hancock back to lead them into their Elite League derby clash with Swindon at Cowley on Friday. The 1997 world champion missed last week with a shoulder injury but he is now ready to return. Silver Machine boss Nigel Wagstaff said: ''You can replace the rider, but you can never replace the man. That''s how important Greg is to my team.''
