SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
04 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

EDINBURGH have snapped up Kristian Lund to deputise for the injured Ross Brady.

Brady is out with a broken ankle sustained at Glasgow last weekend and Lund has recently lost his place at Newport after falling out of favour with the Wasps. He said: ''I like Edinburgh very much, and I remember I did the second fastest time when I was there with Newport earlier this season.''

DEAN Barker is determined to win a rostrum place in the Betfred Championship of Great Britain at Oxford on Sunday. The Eastbourne rider spent three years at Cowley early in his career and feels he can be a spoiler on the night. He said: ''The Oxford track suits me and the national title is something I would love to win. It''s a prestigious event and I''m up for it.''
