BREUGELMANS SEALS DUTCH VICTORY
03 July 2005 - KTM-Sportmotorcycles AG

Factory Red Bull KTM rider Sven Breugelmans won one moto and claimed second place in the other at Markelo, Holland, today for the seventh round of the MX3 World Championship.

The Belgian captured his second consecutive overall win ahead of Yves Demaria with third team-mate Julien Bill in fourth.

In high temperatures nudging the 30s the deep sand of the Markelo circuit offered a tough physical test with many jumps and technical sections; a single racing line did not make for easy racing either.

Breugelmans took the holeshot in the first moto and pulled away from the pursuing Bobkovs. Bill had fought his way up from 6th to reach 3rd at one stage but could not maintain a rhythm in the sand and dropped back to 7th. Reigning Champion Yves Demaria had a bad start and had to cut through the pack to 5th.

Breugelmans started well again in moto2 and headed Demaria establishing a lead of almost five seconds until he landed badly from a jump and stretched his back. He was then forced to slow and Demaria took control of the heat going on to win. Bill had finished the first lap inside the top ten and was riding better to came through to 3rd.

Round eight takes place next weekend at Lommel.
