WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
03 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

WOLVERHAMPTON face an in-form Coventry side in a vital Elite League clash at Monmore on Monday.

The midlands derby features two clubs with serious play-off aspirations and Coventry boosted their hopes with a superb weekend win at Eastbourne. Adam Skornicki once again deputises for the injured David Howe, who is set to make his comeback in the Championship of Great Britain Final next weekend. Wolves are in good heart after a thumping away win over Arena Essex in mid-week. Skipper Steve Johnston said: ''This has all the makings of a great meeting and both teams will be going for it. ''All of us are pumped after the win at Arena and we''re all feeling good going into the meeting, but I know Coventry are going well so it''s going to be a good one.''

WOLVERHAMPTON: Mikael Max, Ronnie Correy, Adam Skornicki, Steve Johnston, Freddie Lindgren, Magnus Karlsson, Krzysztof Pecyna.

COVENTRY: Andreas Jonsson R/R, Jonas Kylmakoorpi, Billy Janniro, Morten Risager, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Martin Smolinski.
