SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
03 July 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

COVENTRY pulled off a stunning 51-42 win at Eastbourne to move back into the Elite League''s top three.

Bees used Peterborough''s Henning Bager as a guest - and the Dane played his part in a terrific all-round team showing. Skipper Scott Nicholls won three of his four clashes with ex-World Champion Nicki Pedersen and set the seal with a last-heat 5-1 over the Dane with an in-form Billy Janniro.

GREAT Britain boss Neil Middleditch reckons the Betfred Championship of Great Britain Final will provide true entertainment. And he is backing the big buns to be challenging for Joe Screen''s crown at Oxford next Sunday, July 10. He said: ''The main contenders must surely come from Scott Nicholls, Lee Richardson, Mark Loram and David Norris and all the riders should provide us with some top class racing.''
