V-ROD WEEK
01 July 2005 - West Coast Harley-Davidson
West Coast Harley-Davidson are holding a V-Rod demo week starting this coming Saturday 2 July at the shop.
The response to the new Street Rod so far from Harley and non Harley customers who have ridden it has been fantastic – in fact an article written by Ken Seaton in The Evening Times this Friday quotes ‘Flat bars, feet back, body forward…. it is certainly not a cruiser and a couple of miles getting used to the 1130cc V-60 motor prompts most un Harley-like aggressiveness on twisty roads. …… I realised I’d skimmed roundabouts and taken decent bends with ease and without scraping metal’ It really can be a revelation to those that would never associate a Harley with handling. V-Rod owners will understand the performance of the motor but Harley has been very clever extracting even more power by careful mapping of the exhaust and gearing changes. The aim of this week is to encourage everyone to come along to the shop and try one out. Judge for yourself just how much fun you can have on one of these bikes. This invitation is aimed equally at existing Harley owners and those yet to join us to try out both the VRSCR Street Rod and its brother the VRSCB V-Rod. Also on view will be a V-Rod with a difference: Our Signature Series Custom #13 V-Rod features a 280 back end conversion and a jaw-dropping paint job that’s bound to excite even the most mild mannered of bikers. It’s outrageous and its for sale!! Come on down – we’d love to see all V-Rod owners over the next week so that we can show off the full extent of the range. We’ve even got a Screaming Eagle V-Rod (VRSCA SE) from the Custom Vehicle Operations of the HD Factory – and if you’re interested in buying one of these extremely rare beasts, talk to Chris or Alfonse and they’ll be happy to talk numbers. This is a ‘one-off’ opportunity.
