STRIJBOS TO MISS TWO
30 June 2005 - Suzuki Racing

Team Suzuki rider Kevin Strijbos will not take part in the Grand Prix of Sweden this weekend and will also miss the South African round in two weeks time.

The luckless Belgian suffered some inflammation of his left forearm that is believed to be connected with the recent thrombosis condition, and in a late meeting with the team decided to withdraw from the next two races to recover and train up to a level whereby he can perform nearer to his ability.

''Kevin is going throw a difficult time at the moment and after a meeting we all decided that this is the best course of action, '' remarked Team Manager Jens Johansson.

''He still has some difficulty with his arm and had two bad Grand Prix in France and Italy that hasn''t helped his confidence at all. He needs to heal properly and then get himself back to a level whereby he is happy to compete. By missing Sweden and South Africa he has almost a full month and hopefully we will see the rider we all remember from last season at Nismes.''
