BOXER BEAT FROM BOS
01 July 2005 - Fowlers of Bristol

BOS produces top quality exhaust systems made from the best materials available and the Dutch company has launched a range of BMW performance exhausts.

The slip-on exhaust for the popular R1200GS weighs in at 3.4 KG, 45% lighter than the factory item, yet boosts power by 5.3 bhp @ 2,760 rpm AND is road legal into the bargain! This impressive specification is due to the fact that BOS systems are individually developed for specific models and then intensively tested for performance and durability on both Dyno and on the road. Although BOS silencers are EC approved, they come with the option to remove the dB eater (another BOS innovation) to enjoy the full sound of the Boxer twin.

BOS systems come with all the necessary hardware like clamps, stand stops, etc. and a mounting manual and there are no other modifications needed. The mounting bracket is a BOS trademark. Instead of attaching to a metal strap around the exhaust, it bolts into the back of the silencer, for an incredibly neat and professional finish.

BOS offers a choice of different materials for the sleeve of the silencer – the carbon is lined with steel for durability - and other parts are made of high quality polished stainless steel. For this level of quality you would expect to pay top dollar, but the prices are surprisingly affordable for this level of northern European quality and finish.

· Aluminium £250 inc. VAT retail.
