ALBERT CABESTANY FINISHES IN SECOND PLACE ON DAY TWO AND IS IN SECOND PLACE IN THE PROVISIONAL STANDINGS
27 June 2005 - Sherco

Matteo Grattarola and Loris Gubian are in second and third places respectively in the 125 Youth Cup

The second day of the GP of France was contested under the same difficult conditions as the day before, and as the day before the same three riders were on the podium. Today the Sherco rider Albert Cabestany was able to move up one position to second place rather than the third place he obtained on day one. This result confirms his second place position in the provisional standings and enlarges the gap between him and the rest of the field of contenders.
Albert was in second place after the first lap and was able to maintain that position through the second lap, he had hoped to gain some ground on Adam Raga but that was not to be.

Albert Cabestany: ''Things went better today than yesterday, but I failed to achieve my goal of closing the gap on Raga. It may have been the heat or the hardness of the sections but the best part of the weekend is that Raga and I have been able to put some distance between us and the rest of the contenders. Now my main objective is to reach Raga, something that I believe is perfectly feasible since we are riding at nearly the same level. I have only myself to blame for not winning the victory today.''
