SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
21 June 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

ELITE League leaders Poole were edged out in the last heat at Coventry in a dramatic televised meeting.

Andreas Jonsson starred for the Bees with a sequence of thrilling wins, and then combined with Scott Nicholls for a match-winning 5-1 in Heat 15. Coventry boss Peter Oakes said: ''It was a terrific battling performance all round because we had a lot of things go against us.''

BERWICK have maintained their excellent start to their Premier League campaign with an away win at Reading. The Bandits raced into an early 14-point lead and withstood a fightback from the home team to notch a 49-44 win.
