SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES
20 June 2005 - British Speedway Promoters Association

GLASGOW have continued their team re-structuring by announcing the signing of 16-year old Dane Leon Madsen, a former World Youth Champion.

The Ashfield club have released both Matthew Wethers and Trent Leverington in order to accomodate Madsen in the line-up. Co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: ''This is easily the most exciting signing that this club has made since we took over. We hear very good things about the lad.''

HULL manager Dave Peet was delighted to see his team pull back a six-point deficit to take an away win at Newport. Peet had been fiercely critical of the Vikings after a heavy home defeat against Edinburgh last week. He said: ''We showed grit and character and I am well pleased with it. If we had won on Wednesday we would have been up there.''
